Introduction to Indoor Air Quality

The IH must have a basic understanding of how the air quality within and around buildings and structures can affect the occupants’ health and comfort. The IH/OH must be knowledgeable of the factors that affect indoor air quality (IAQ) including poor ventilation (lack of fresh, outside air), problems controlling temperature, high or low humidity, recent remodeling that may affect air flow and other activities in or near a building that can affect the quality of the air in the building.
